Burnt Himalayan Salt Block

This Himalayan salt plate has been subjected to barbecues, open fire, gas burners, broilers, and most important, lots and lots of burnt food. For example, I have flambeed food on it, inadvertently burned eggs and pancakes, scorched bacon fat, and more. Nonetheless, this block of salt still cooks wonderfully, and I have grown fond of it, like an old pair of boots.
